“What I like most about Dr. Brenner is that he wants to be involved not only in the development of the training program but also in the follow-up afterwards. I highly recommend him.
He will help transform your employees through an enjoyable and interactive training experience.”
Challenge
Hahnemann University Hospital, ranked at the time by U.S. News & World Report as one of the best hospitals in the Philadelphia metro area, sought to improve teamwork within its Labor and Delivery nursing unit amid new healthcare pressures and increasing patient demands. The diverse age group of the nurses underscored the need for training that resonated across generations and experience levels.
Solution
Right Chord Leadership developed “The Power of Teamwork: Proven Strategies for Successful Collaboration,” a 4-hour program focused on building trust, empathic communication, managing conflict, and maintaining composure under pressure. The program allowed participants to assess themselves on six dimensions of emotional intelligence and identify improvements in processes and protocols.
Results
The initiative led to notable enhancements in working relationships and a significant boost in confidence regarding interpersonal skills. Following the success in the Labor and Delivery unit, another nursing group at Hahnemann sought the same training, extending Right Chord Leadership’s impact to nearly 70 nurses. The program’s success in fostering team cohesion and enhancing communication created more positive interactions among co-workers as well as with physicians, patients and patients’ families. In an environment where lives are literally at stake and every second counts, we delivered excellence.
